Enchant St. Petersburg 2022
I managed to squeeze in an audition for Enchant St. Petersburg right as they were calling for evacuations in the area for Hurricane Ian. I guess I thought I was auditioning for an existing show or something of the sort (I mean, I actually thought the audition was cancelled), so my audition was very, VERY ill prepared. I just had my standard audition songs at the time, no Christmas songs really in my repertoire or anything. Somehow, they hired me. And then I learned that they were hiring me as part of their entertainment line-up and HOLY MOLY did I have some work to do! Over the next month and a half, I crammed Christmas music and began choreographing short tap bits for the instrumental sections. I bought a nice department store dress, a dress from Amazon, a thrift store dress, and a brand new pair of high heeled tap shoes (my well-aged oxford taps would just not do with the fancy attire) and pulled together 3 twenty minute shows. Preparing for my work with Enchant was an amazing experience of growth and learning, and when it came to show time, performing them was an absolute joy. Here are just a few moments from my time there.
